Every once in a while I get questions about my camera settings and in a recent video I shared the settings I prefer right now, in early 2025. My preferred settings tend to change over time and I also use slightly different settings for different photo situations.
Street photography is the genre I mostly shoot and the settings in the video work for that. However, the same settings can be used for any action photography as well.
I set my camera to manual exposure more but the ISO is on auto mode. That makes it work like auto exposure. The M exposure lets me quickly select any aperture or shutter speed while the auto ISO takes care of the final exposure. So, my exposures are spot on even in quick moments on the street.
